Monaghan County Council is taking action to prevent access to a protest site overlooking Clones GAA stadium used by those opposed to Allianz sponsorship of the GAA, the Irish News has learned.

Warning letters were sent to a number of people after last weekend’s All-Ireland SFC round 2B match between Monaghan and Roscommon in St Tiernach’s Park, declaring the area to be a no go zone for protestors.
