To Mr. President and the entire political establishment in Nigeria, it is infuriating to witness once again how self-serving and regressive decisions are made at the expense of progress and meritocracy. The withdrawal of Ruby Onwudiwe's nomination to the CBN board under the pretext of political affiliations is a blatant display of the selfish and narrow-minded nature of Nigerian politics.
It is a slap in the face of every Nigerian who yearns for a government that prioritizes competence and integrity over political loyalty. The fact that objections raised by certain APC members and supporters can influence such a crucial decision speaks volumes about the sorry state of our leadership.
We are tired of being held hostage by politicians who are more concerned about consolidating their power and influence than serving the interests of the people. The Nigerian government's penchant for rewarding loyalty over competence only perpetuates a cycle of mediocrity and corruption that continues to hold our country back.
Mr. President, the people of Nigeria deserve better. We deserve leaders who are willing to rise above petty politics and prioritize the greater good of the nation. It is time to break free from the shackles of self-serving interests and embrace a new era of transparency, accountability, and progress for all Nigerians.
We will not be silenced, and we will continue to speak out against the injustices and retrogressive actions of our government. The time for change is now, and we will not rest until our voices are heard and our demands for a better Nigeria are met.
Obasanjo was the president of Nigeria for 8years without visiting any foreign country for health reasons or call it health tourism.
He is in his late 80’s and yet he has not broken that record.
The purpose of this tweet is to tell meaningful Nigerians that ASO ROCK or the PRESIDENCY is not a retirement home.
IRE OOOO ✌️
