@3YearLetterman The American version spanned many more seasons than the original and couldn't touch its greatness. P&R did something very unique and memorable.
@ianmSC This can't be right. Jim Crow 2.0 was what led to the MLB moving the all star game from Atlanta to Denver. We're at least at Jim Crow 2.5, or perhaps 2.4.1.2
@MonicaGandhi9 Thanks for the thread! Am I reading correctly that mortality is 5% when infection reaches the toxic phase? If so, do you have any numbers on how many get to the toxic phase, or the major factors that lead to it reaching that phase (pre-disposition, lack of treatment, etc.)?
@3YearLetterman That's how I got to watch their run of greatness in the 90s with Cox, and got to see Chipper's career! It seemed poetic that I was drawn to Georgia Tech for grad school (bear with me), and was able to get $5 tix and sneak booze into games to see the ascendance of Freddie Freeman
@3YearLetterman I grew up in Indiana, and my family didn't watch baseball. I played little league and was enamored by the fact that the games started at 5 past the hour, so I was hooked in the late 80s...
@walterkirn I find it poetic that Andy Serkis, who came to fame embodying a character fatally drawn to a doomed jewel, finds his most current treasure in exalting a deadly political ideology.
