I went to collect family receipt for my land yesterday and i was shock with what happened

Atanda, the Land i bought for six Million Naira, this people wrote one thousand naira on the recept and backdated the date to 1998

I rejected it and left with anger, pls what can i do on this one

That's the practice, i don't know if it's same practice in igbo land and other regions

So far you have evidence of your bank transfer, you have nothing to worry about

What you should worry about mostly, is taking legal possession of the Land

The price do on the Family receipt doesn't not really have any effect

You should be more concerned about getting your deed ready and ask them to sign on it

That is the legal way the ownership of that land can be transferred to you Legally and not through the receipt you are worried about.

And make sure the deed is registered at the Land Registry to perfect it and let the Government know that you are the one occupying that Legally henceforth and they will stamp it for you.

And your recipt does not make you the owner of the land,..

Deed is the legal instruments that transfer ownership of Land to you

Urgent Lifesaving Appeal: Help Save My Brother, Ahmad Rasheed, from Aggressive Facial Cancer

Dear Nigerians,
I am writing to you today completely heartbroken, but desperate to save my brother’s life. My brother, Ahmad Rasheed Iyanda, is fighting a horrific and aggressive battle against a rapidly growing facial cancer, and we urgently need your help.

If you look at his before and after pictures, you can see the devastating toll this disease has taken on him. What is even more terrifying is how innocently this nightmare began. It started over two years ago with something as simple as a sharp toothache after eating a peanut. We thought it was a minor dental issue. A small, pea-sized swelling appeared, but instead of going away, it began to grow at an alarming rate.

After enduring countless tests, biopsies, and scans at multiple hospitals, including the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), we received his diagnosis: Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma of the Maxillary Antrum—a severe and aggressive form of sinus cancer.
Despite our family's best efforts to get him care over the last couple of years, the tumor has grown relentlessly. His most recent CT scans from late 2025 show just how critical his situation has become:

Massive Tumor Growth: The tumor has grown to nearly 10 centimeters in size on the right side of his face.

Bone Destruction: The mass is so aggressive that it has eroded and destroyed the bones of his upper jaw, his cheekbone, and the walls of his right eye socket.

Vision and Breathing Impact: The tumor is physically displacing his right eye outward (proptosis) and has grown into his nasal cavity, severely narrowing his airway and making it difficult to breathe.

Critical Emergency: The most terrifying finding from his latest scan is that the cancer has destroyed his frontal bone and is showing early extension into his brain.

Ahmad is in unimaginable pain, and time is no longer on our side. The cancer is literally inches away from causing irreversible brain damage or worse.

He desperately needs extensive, complex surgery to remove this massive tumor, followed by rigorous cancer treatments. The financial weight of these procedures, continuous scans, and specialized care has completely overwhelmed our family. We have exhausted our resources trying to keep him alive up to this point.

He cannot fight this alone, and we cannot save him without your help.

We are humbly begging for your assistance. Every single Naira and every share matters. Your donation will go directly toward the immediate, life-saving surgery he needs to stop this cancer from advancing further into his brain.
