One of the foundational principles in Christianity is Love.
In 1 John 4, we are encouraged to love as God loves, without expecting anything in return, because the unmet expectation may lead us to bitterness
Without God's love, we would be perishing. Lost, and languishing in sin.
But thanks be to God who gave us a second chance through the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ
Love comes from God. People love others through God's love. Faith connects both principles together in practical Christianity.
Love your brother as an automatic response to having the love of God in you!
The arrival of Jesus points beyond “problem-solving” to something central.
God’s love made visible. 1 John frames God's love as important in shaping the way we engage others.
When life pulls you into fast reactions or blurry boundaries, this is a steady reminder: love is rooted in God.
If your foundation feels shaky, revisit what grounds you—because being connected to love ultimately helps you love people better.
1 John 4:7
Even though we may have opened the door wide, and gladly, we still need to actually unclog and clear out the distractions and concerns that take us away from Jesus Christ
Sometimes our hearts and lives are so full of inconsequential things that serve as distractions for the Word of God to enter.
These small interferences keep God's Word at bay. We need to get rid of them
We often prevent the Word of God from entering our hearts.
The best thing we can do after this realisation is to open up our hearts and let The Word of God permeate our hearts.
Despite all the noise in our fast paced world, Jesus hears the gentle whispers of your heart.
He is an ever-present help in times of trouble. He is always available to listen, help and correct us.
Jesus is all you need for your daily living as a Christian.
When we admit that Jesus is all we need, then we rid ourselves of the pride of independence and self-governance.
This is what we contribute to our relationship with Him, while living according to the Word of God.
