The MD/CEO, the Finance Director, the Corporate Affairs Director and other top staff of Nigerian Breweries came on a courtesy visit to the ECNRS today.
The Govt. Affairs Manager introduced me to the Corporate Affairs Director as a loyal customer.
I first burst into tears. For 10mins I was crying, dem say why, I say e le understand 😭😭
ICYMI: The Dimka coup that assassinated Gen. Murtala Mohammed in 1976 also featured one civilian: a radio broadcaster named Abdulkarim Zakari. According to Dimka, it was Zakari who showed him the NBC broadcast studio a day before the coup, and led them into it on the day of.
Earlier today, I welcomed the new Managing Director and CEO of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Thibaut Boidin, to Lagos House, Ikeja.
We had a good conversation about partnership opportunities that can further strengthen Lagos’ economy, and I wish him much success in his new role.
I’d love for @NafdacAgency to pay closer attention to Oral ACTs currently flooding the market especially those from foreign countries.
Many of these “cheap” medications are either substandard or fake. A drug labeled to contain 80mg and 480mg of Artemether and Lumefantrine respectively may only contain 20/120mg when put to the test.
There are many instances where I treat patients with ACT therapy and they end up being hospitalized, with me having to resort to last line IV Quinine treatment.
Then some of these drugs are just plain and simple fake drugs, putting many at risk of kidney and liver failure.
These are part of the many factors why Antimalarial Drug Resistance is also on the rise and people have been dying while wasting hard earned money on Antimalarial Medicines.
What I suggest NAFDAC can do is to take random samples of these drugs from the local market and test them from time to time, not simply relying on the test drugs sent to them by the companies for confirmation and approval.
Healthcare Providers should also thoroughly scrutinize their drug supplies to ensure these drugs work as they are purported to work.
A country that works for all is a country that would benefit all of us in the long run.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
DMX owed Def Jam $12 million towards the end of his tenure with the label. Dee from Ruff Ryders went to JAY-Z to talk about it & Hov wiped X’s debt away & let him sign with Def Jam’s direct competitor completely free.
See how these young boys praise and respect their dad in Yoruba language. So sweet 🥹 🥰
It’s like those in diasporas are training their children on Yoruba Culture and History than those at home…
