@DarioCpx Looks like Iran is putting a counter force to the price manipulation from the US with low-level attacks that have little actual consequences but the news it represents get picked up by the algos.
Beste stuurlui...
@Rory_Johnston Rory, the market seems adamant 2027 will see an oversupply. If China does not buy like in 2025, we would have seen a significant oversupply. Correct? Market seems to believe the current Iran histrionics is just noise.
@RazorOil@energyburrito Sandia (DOE’s geotechnical advisor) tracks remaining drawdowns for each cavern. 70 MMbbl is a technical minimum, with 300 MMbbl a strategic judgment. The effective floor is likely somewhere between 200 and 300 MMbbl.
@MarkKoekkelkor1@Ross__Hendricks Spot prices availability of oil today. And today there is sufficient oil flowing, even with the skirmishes going on. Fights seem to be slowly escalating, yet no party is so far escalating heavily enough to create a point of no return. So, the market is in wait and see mode.
@Nero1131171@Ross__Hendricks Millitary personell also willingly go to a war zone; for tankers there are also sufficient people that are willing to go into Hormuz, if the price is right;
@RealRickRule Capitalism began in The Netherlands in 16th century and only a century later England took over, after a Dutch king ascended the English throne in 1688 and copied the Dutch model in England.
@JoshYoung He is not lying. I wish he were, bc I'm long oil. But so many people calling the market crazy, manipulated and questioning the low oil price, that they fail to see the market being more resilient than expected. Ships transiting with missiles flying defies belief, yet here we are.
@energyburrito Bc oil transits in Hormuz are relatively strong, even with all the skirmishes, allowing China to stay off the sidelines. The price spike manifests itself in products, not crude at the moment.
