🚨BREAKING: DOJ charges the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) with wire fraud, false statements, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
The SPLC secretly funneled $3M+ in donor funds to violent racist extremist groups:
-Ku Klux Klan
-American Nazi Party
-Aryan Nation
-United Klans of America
-Unite the Right
-National Alliance
-National Socialist Movement
-Sadistic Souls Motorcycle Club
-American Front
To hide the payments, SPLC allegedly opened bank accounts under fictitious entities to conceal the source and control of donor funds.
Per the indictment: an SPLC field source was a member of the online leadership chat group that planned the 2017 "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville — made racist postings under SPLC supervision and helped coordinate transportation to the event.
FBI Director Kash Patel: "They lied to their donors, vowing to dismantle violent extremist groups, and actually turned around and paid the leaders of these very extremist groups — even utilizing the funds to have these groups facilitate the commission of state and federal crimes."
Acting AG Todd Blanche: "The SPLC is manufacturing racism to justify its existence. Using donor money to allegedly profit off Klansmen cannot go unchecked."
Scheme allegedly ran 2014–2023.
FBI calls it an ongoing investigation.
Insane!!!

Amazing project from ETH Zürich !
It combines wheels with tiltable propellers that generate force to press the robot against the wall while also pushing it upward, allowing it to continue moving vertically with agility.

@clickbaitcait@itsme_urstruly I should have had children when I was younger but I watched a documentary titled 'Section 60' about Arlington National Cemetery.
The scenes of wives laying on top of graves and the fatherless children informed me that I should wait until I got out of the service to have kids.
Why do so many people struggle to recognize a technological achievement like the moon landing? Just get on a plane, which runs on basically the same technology from 60 years ago and is itself a marvel of human imagination and engineering, and it becomes obvious: escaping Earth’s gravity in a massive rocket, coasting to the Moon on pure Newtonian inertia, landing, then lifting off against lunar gravity (not half, not a quarter, just a sixth part of Earth's!) with thrusters and docking with a more powerful return module in orbit is not that complicated once you consider that we already cross the Atlantic with 150 people on board nearly TWO THOUSAND TIMES A DAY without a single accident that registers as statistically meaningful. Is it really that hard to see?
And don't start with the Van Allen belts --a *single* chest CT Scan is roughly 7 mSv, and the Apollo astronauts absorbed somewhere in the range of 4 to 11 mSv total for the entire mission. So the Van Allen belt argument essentially amounts to claiming that astronauts couldn’t survive the equivalent of one CT scan. Acknowledge science and our human capacity to solve problems.
