A glance into the Langmuir Canyon. It's not clear what the main organic structure is. Probably a group of glycans. The shadows on the right side are from a bunch of carbon nanotubes. It is not common to see this structure in nature, yet they can form as a product of combustion.

"Kobold-2 finally made it to a highly reflective crystal structure at the very limit of Pauling Planitia are Titanium crystals. The eruption of CO2 molecules in the background is probably the result of a reaction between the calcium carbonate a passing by droplet of acid."

Moving along the border of Pauling Planitia, toward a highly reflective structure, the rover was forced into a detour because of a benzene storm. This was apparently caused by the collision of a large drop of the substance on a nearby ridge of calcium carbonate.

The Kobold-2 nano-probe is a device consisting of a nanocamera mounted on a 13 Å self-guided drone. In its first three missions it explored for some μs a sample of matter whose diameter was approximately 1,5 μm.
