@BlehisBack I did uni in anambra btw 2009 and 2014 when PO was Governor.During the build-up to the election,I constantly told people around me that there was nothing I saw during my university days around Governance that deserves this hype but i still voted for PO because I was convinced..

@Oludari_ This is not a revenue problem. The real issue here is more of how the fund is mismanaged. Some individuals have built a conduit pipe around Lagos revenue and so the state can never reach its potential unless these leakages are blocked.

@freezeon15919 @Akeju_Ganiu @HighChiefOkoro For proper context,Lagos had a functional stadium(Teslim Balogun) under Fashola but it deteriorated due to lack of maintenance by the Ambode and Sanwolu administration. Was the Uyo stadium not built and maintained by Akwa-ibom state government?do they have more funds than Lagos?

@0X_CFZ @Akeju_Ganiu Apart from VAT, What percentage of other channels of IGR is remitted to FG? You are painting a wrong narrative here making it look like all revenue generated in the states are remitted to FG. Majority of PAYE,MDAs revenue , road taxes are retained by states.

@Akeju_Ganiu @HighChiefOkoro I see the efforts but Lagos is nowhere close to where it should be. The last time I felt Lagos was moving in the right direction was under Governor Fashola who covered every aspect of Governance. A whole Lagos state can't boast of a FIFA accredited stadium and that's okay to you?

@Akeju_Ganiu @HighChiefOkoro Lagos state has so much potential but yet untapped. The Government boasts that if Lagos was a country, it would be the 5th largest economy in Africa but yet the quality of life is amongst the lowest globally. Public health is a nightmare, no clean water, very dirty environment.
