@DonCaldwelll Should be training there once a week - was a great atmosphere and I reckon the senior guys watching would have enjoyed seeing a good turnout and some excitement
@Cpcc15 He was never going to play for an arch rival. Let alone one that is such a basket case which would tarnish an amazing career. And that’s our problem - you just can’t trust Essendon as a potential assistant coach or a player so it’s a long and hard road out.
@JakeDav08180745 I agree. I understand him saying he only wanted the top job. But if he really wants to help and see the club rebuild he will get involved. Same with Matty Lloyd. There comes a time when these guys have to make a sacrifice for the club they love like Solly did. Time will tell.
@WHWindsock Also listened to his 30 minutes interview with Cal Twomey. I can also see why he was chosen. He’s not the high profile, charismatic figure like Hird would be but needs to be given a chance and he might just be what we need.
@C_Corday While I agree with McVeigh getting his chance and needing full support now, I wouldn’t mind seeing a few board members turned over provided it’s done in an orderly way. This group have been clumsy though so don’t fill me with confidence.
@edbourkeHS Hey guys let’s wait until they’ve all gone home then give Cal a call. Shit he’s just said McVeigh has got the job, who stuffed that up - get him to change it to McVeigh is in the box seat. Can’t have anyone thinking this is a done deal just yet.
@C_Corday Stick a fork in us. About to let my 8 year old son jump to the hawks. Kills me to say it given I’ll be giving up going to the footy together but I want him to be happy and enjoy footy the way I enjoyed it growing up. Another lost supporter.
@PatrickRyen@Kiki_D84 I agree it’s a done deal if Cal is reporting on it. Disappointing way to do it in the hours after the last home game, treats supporters like mugs. They could have at least waited until today and as someone else said, make sure the others were notified. Tight process until now.
