If you don’t go out and get the best possible center, at the very minimum, you aren’t seriously trying to win anything. The era of “ethical basketball” is dead. Just go win.
MSU fans, what would you give for Michigan hoops and hockey to both NOT win a national championship?
Sell your soul? Life of solitude? Agree to an 0-12 MSU football season? Give up donuts? Run naked through the streets? Pay $10K?
Reply with what you'd actually be willing to do
Expecting Izzo to get a center that would start over someone he went after pretty hard would be such a departure from everything he has done to this point. It’s definitely possible but it would certainly be a first.
@VisInBlue@buckeyefbnation Nobody serious is saying he is the greatest coach. But what he’s done only a handful ever had been able to accomplish. The only thing he’s shy of is championships. He’s done everything else.
@AndrewTalksHoop I think ALL of this can be true but we can also have a conversation about Izzo not fully utilizing the portal to put this roster in the absolute best position to win a championship. Kaleb Glenn is an unknown but as a whole this portal class could left a lot to be desired.
@SpartanHoops_DK @SpartanDawgPC @B1Gsad I’m seeing a lot of people say we’d have to be lucky to keep both? We’d be foolish to let either leave. Letting that happen isn’t serious stuff.
Tom Izzo is still an all time great. He’s not washed but what is also true is that his refusal to use the portal to put us in the best possible position to win a championship is what has hindered us from getting over that last hump. This may have been his most impressive work tho
@SpartanHoops_DK You need more ball handling and scoring. Fears being basically the only trusted ball handler on the floor at any given time isn’t great.
