@ploeh Indeed. Sorry it's a bit of a low spot for you right now. All the same, I shall eagerly await your next entry.
More or less with you in the AI funk. I forget, have I brought up Joseph Weisenbaum with you yet? ELIZA effect?
Sorry to dump all this, you don't know me from Adam, and I know you're a busy guy and I'm leaving out a lot of juicy details. Any thoughts and prayers would be appreciated. Thanks for how you handle your slice of the Internets.
@MattWhitmanTMBH - straight through the front door. How should I think of Christians who remain entrenched in weird, hurtful patterns of life? Obviously a lot of context I could go into here, and this is a poor medium to discuss. In a lot of pain over it, trying to process.
I guess right now I'm kind of in this spot of just trying to leave it to a good God to handle however he wants to, and trusting that is the best way. Cause I don't know all the details, and I'm pretty sure I've got my act messed up too. Still hurts. Just doing what I can.
The Enemy always seems to arrive with the same speech: “If God really loved you, He would do something different for you. Your circumstances would be different. Your circumstances would be better right now.”
No.
God always loves you.
God is always for you.
God always has a plan.
God is always with you.
God goes the distance with you.
Sometimes our circumstances don’t add up to the dream we have envisioned, but that never means God isn’t with us. Look at Hebrews 13:5, just one of the places where God promises, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
That truth alone–that God never leaves or forsakes us–that’s a game changer.
@MattWhitmanTMBH hey Matt, thank you for the Philemon bits. Really super strongly looking forward to John. You rock, God bless you brother, keep up the good work 👍
@ploeh just ran across a page that uses a commenting system that uses git. I'd be curious if there's any way you could integrate it into your wonderful blog?

@ploeh Interesting read. Forgot that C doesn't sport exceptions.
Apparently, some folks prefer to treat C++ as if it didn't either - https://t.co/KJflwdxLG5
