#BondBirthday- the late Harold Sakata won a Silver Medal in the 1948 Olympics for weightlifting before becoming a pro wrestler. He portrayed Oddjob in "Goldfinger" and set the @007 henchman standard.
#BondBirthday- Léa Seydoux portrayed Dr. Madeline Swan in "SPECTRE" and "No Time To Die". No Vesper Lynd, but much better than the Nuclear Scientist Dr. Christmas Jones.
#BondBirthday- Paul McCartney performed the theme song to "Live and Let Die". One wishes they gave him a cameo on the film (like Madonna in "Die Another Day") as Dewey, Sheriff JW Pepper's dimwitted deputy.
#BondBirthday- Jonathan Pryce portrayed Elliot Carver in "Tomorrow Never Dies". You might recall his portrayal as the third Prince Philip in "The Crown". I invite you to check out "Brazil".
#BondBirthday- the late Shane Rimmer saw appeared in "You Only Live Twice", "Diamonds are Forever" and "The Spy Who Loved Me" while also finding time to fix up X-wings on the fourth moon of Yavin.
#BondBirthday- the late Christopher Lee actually was more 007 than Scaramanga, serving in World War II behind the scenes before becoming an actor. "The Man with the Golden Gun" wasn't the best film, but Lee was great as the title character.
#BondBirthday- the late Lewis Collins was in consideration for the role of 007 when Roger Moore was a question mark in 1980, but the producers deemed him "too aggressive".
Statement from Amazon MGM Studios:
“The search for the next James Bond is underway. While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.”
