ILLICIT LIQUOR WORTH R12 MILLION SEIZED IN STELLENBOSCH:

A joint operation by SAPS, the Western Cape Liquor Authority and the SARS Customs Unit has led to the seizure of illicit liquor worth R12-million at a storage facility in Plankenburg, Stellenbosch.

The raid followed intelligence received by the Western Cape Liquor Authority.

The liquor was confiscated by SARS Customs, and a police investigation is underway.

No arrests have been made.
