Second strike re “secret” order of former OMB on Sen Villanueva (vintage 2019 pa) and strike 3 on the “courtesy resignation” of those with SG 25-29 framed as “hallmarks of midnight appointments.” Thats a total of 204 appointments.

The reorganization of the OMB started in the term of the 4th Ombudsman. We were the consultants of the ABA-led project. We even had a write-session on the proposed reorganization bill then. So, the latest statement from the current OMB on his so-called “hallmarks of midnight appointments” does not take into account the institutional efforts done of strengthening the organization by previous heads.

What is shocking are his lines re “courtesy resignations” and “midnight appointments.” The OMB is not under the Executive Branch. It is an independent body. So would that be positions for his frat mates? One bummer after another. #justsayin
