We got another thank-you video (in English) from an army unit that received some of the huge touch screens from us. They are very grateful because it helps them to better fight the russian enemy!
Groot succes, nu nog even doorduwen!
๐๐ From the classroom to Ukraine: digital boards get a new purpose
Recently, we were able to acquire more than 80 huge touchscreen displays from a company that wishes to remain anonymous. Stichting Diel / Vrienden van Oekraรฏne also purchased 42 of these screens.
We transported the screens to Ukraine, and together we have now made more than 120 digital boards available to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The first screens have already been delivered to several command centers.
These digital boards are being used for operational planning and air defence. Digital maps can display friendly and enemy positions and routes, as well as the locations of drone attacks and air defence systems.
This information helps military personnel prepare and coordinate their operations.
In this way, digital boards that had been written off by schools in the Netherlands are being given a new and valuable purpose in Ukraine. They help in the defence of the country.๐บ๐ฆ
In the video, you can see the subtitled messages of thanks from the soldiers who are already using the screens.
๐ Many thanks to all our donors and everyone who made this possible!

You probably remember the Volkswagen Tiguan that we drove to Ukraine in August. After some repairs it has been delivered to the army unit at an Airforce Base near Kyiv. ๐ชโ๏ธ
Below a thank-you video.
We delivered a minivan to Veteran Center 'Lisova Polyana in Odesa regio. This supports transport for veteran-defenders to their rehabilitation activities. They sent us a kind thank-you video
"We sincerely thank the De Leeuw Kyiv Foundation from the Netherlands
and the Kyshchentsi Charity Foundation
for donating a vehicle to the Lisova Polyana Rehabilitation Center.
For us, this is not just a vehicle.
It is an opportunity to organize veteran transportation, help them safely access rehabilitation events, and also travel together to events and excursions in Odesa, which is an important part of their physical and psychological recovery.
Thank you for your support, trust, and care.
Together, we are helping our veterans return to an active life.
We sincerely thank the De Leeuw Kyiv Foundation from the Netherlands and the Kischentzi Charity Foundation for donating this vehicle to the Lisova Polyana Rehabilitation Center.
This is much more than a vehicle. It will help us provide transportation for veterans, ensure they can safely attend rehabilitation programs, and organize trips and activities around Odesa that are an important part of their physical and psychological recovery.
Thank you for your generosity, trust, and support.
Together, we are helping our veterans recover, reconnect with life, and build a stronger future. ๐๐"
๐๐ Another drone caught in our anti-drone nets! ๐ธ
We have received another video ๐น showing how a drone was caught in one of our anti-drone nets.
A substantial drone that could have caused serious damage and taken lives. Fortunately, it was caught in the net and subsequently neutralised.
This once again shows how important these protective nets are in defending against Russian drone attacks. But many more nets are needed to protect roads, people and vital supply routes.
๐ Help us deliver more anti-drone nets to Ukraine. Donate via the link in the comments.
Thank you so much for your support! ๐บ๐ฆ

๐จ โThis is pure terror against Ukraineโs food supply.โ
In a report by @RTLnieuws , our colleague Kees Huizinga (@DutchFarmerInUA) spoke about the devastating impact of Russiaโs massive attacks on Ukraineโs food supply.
Kees was interviewed at a modern, fully automated distribution centre where he had stored vegetables for eight years ๐ฅฆ๐ฅ. The facility supplied no fewer than 400 supermarkets. Today, nothing remains after russian missile strikes.
Meanwhile, the harvest on Keesโ fields is in full swing. Onions ๐ง are being stored at his farm, but they cannot reach the shops. The logistics for corn and grain have also been severely disrupted by attacks on ships in the Black Sea and port facilities in Odesa.
This is not only a threat to Ukraine, but to global food security. russia and Ukraine together account for around 30% of global grain exports.๐พ
Fuel stations โฝ are also increasingly being targeted. Attacks that previously mainly affected eastern regions are now reaching Kyiv as well.
As RTL correspondent @JeroenAkkermans concludes: "russiaโs attacks on fuel, electricity and food supplies are aimed at bringing civilian life in Ukraine to a standstill."
๐๐ This is not just an attack on buildings and infrastructure. It is an attack on the daily lives of millions of Ukrainians.

170 food parcels for families of fallen Ukrainian defenders ๐บ๐ฆ
Our aid effort in Irpin was recently featured in a report by the Ukrainian television channel ITV.
Together with our partners at Unbreakable Hearts, De Leeuw Kyiv delivered 170 food parcels to families who have lost a father, husband, son or other loved one in the war.
The families are grateful for the food and school supplies for their children. But their appreciation goes beyond the products themselves. They say it is important to know that people care about them โ and that even a Dutch volunteer organisation reaches out to show that they have not been forgotten.
These 170 parcels are part of around 5,000 food parcels that De Leeuw Kyiv and our partners have delivered in recent months to elderly people and internally displaced Ukrainians.
We cannot take away their pain. But we can show them: you are not alone, and you are not forgotten. ๐๐
Please continue to support us so that we can keep helping Ukrainians. Donation link in the comments.

๐ฅ Unfortunately, our Friday afternoon started with a major setback.
One of our cars, destined for a Ukrainian military unit, went up in flames at a traffic light yesterday.
Fortunately, it was not sabotage or a drone attack, but simply very bad luck. Our colleague Arno managed to get out of the vehicle in time and, thankfully, was not injured. ๐
For the military unit that was counting on this vehicle, this unfortunately means that we now have to find and purchase another one. Arno was due to drive this car to Ukraine next week.
Help us replace it! With your support, we can purchase another vehicle as soon as possible and still get it to the soldiers who are waiting for it.
๐๐ Every donation helps. ๐ถ

September 1 is the first day of school in Ukraine. ๐บ๐ฆ๐
It is normally a very special and festive day. Children starting first grade are welcomed at school in a beautiful ceremony. Everyone dresses in their best clothes, teachers are congratulated with flowers and chocolate, and proud and emotional parents watch their children take this important first step in their education.
But during the war, everything is different.
As in previous years, russia launched heavy attacks during the night before the first day of school โ this year even more intensely. Twelve people have been killed and seventeen injured, with the Kyiv region among the areas hit hardest.
