uncharted on the other hand, though graphically impressive, is just a glorified interactive movie. it's just another adventure game with full of scripted sequences, and we already had lots of those type of games in the last two decades
so yes, overwatch deserved GOTY 2016
overwatch was innovative and nothing was quite like it when it was released. yes we had the likes of team fortress but it was considered a niche at the time. overwatch was the first time since TF2 that a hero shooter made it to mainstream and actually shifted the whole industry
Uncharted 4 losing GOTY to Overwatch in 2016 is still the biggest robbery in gaming history.
I get it, Overwatch was a great game too, but Uncharted 4 is miles ahead. It was so ahead of its time that it could release tomorrow and no one would say it's an outdated game.
I think non gamers underestimate how many people use gaming as their way to decompress after work, stress, burnout or just life.
For a lot of adults:
gaming IS self care.
can someone send this to that uncultured swine of a duterte who said normal lang for a politician to have billions of net worth. these politicians have made government just another form of business they can exploit
Artemis II mission, Project Hail Mary, Starfield PS5 release, and Pragmata, all within a month
what a great time to be a space nerd and sci-fi enthusiast ๐ค๐ช๐ฐ๏ธ๐๐งโ๐๐
i have read the book years ago and always knew it was special ๐ฅน when the movie was announced i thought they'll ruin it just like most book-to-movie adaptations. i'm so glad i was wrong
unpopular opinion but i really hate when game devs/studio anounce their game years ahead of realease. i'd rather have them shadowdrop it in the middle of the night when everyone's asleep than wait for a decade thirsting over what little piece of leaks and rumors we can scrounge
