We didn't just write about this; we measured it. We scanned the 386 token logos our Atlas caches from the live IC ecosystem (each token's on-chain logo), with the same structural checks as our open-source ohshii-image-guard.

✅ 0 / 386 are weaponized. No active <script>, event handler or javascript: in a single one. Nobody has shipped a live payload, yet.

‼️ 58% (225) were accepted and stored with the exact region a polyglot hides in left intact: JPEG EXIF/ICC/IPTC/comment segments (113), PNG text/metadata chunks (69), script-capable SVGs (42).

Zero of these are malicious, and that's the whole point. The metadata in them today is harmless camera/editor leftovers. But the pipeline that stored them would store a live </script><script>… in that same segment just as happily, and serve it to every wallet, explorer and aggregator that renders the logo.

The ecosystem is one malicious upload away, and on 58% of what's already live the door is open.

We don't name tokens, none did anything wrong; the finding is about the ingest pipeline, not any creator. OhShii rejects all of it at the source; no SVG, no comment/metadata/trailing segments, magic-byte↔type match; re-encodes on the client, serves with a strict CSP + nosniff.
