Jurors will listen to the audio of 7-year-old Athena Strand being strangled to death by FedEx driver Tanner Horner.

Horner pleaded guilty to capital murder, but a juror will decide if he should be sentenced to death.

Strand told the child, “Don't scream or I'll hurt you,” as he picked her up and put her in his truck.

The child tried to fight Strand off during the attack—his DNA was found under her nails.

Prosecutors added that his DNA was found, “in places where you shouldn't find DNA on a 7-year-old girl.”

The girl’s mother is for the death penalty being implemented.
