한국에서 제일 웃긴 규제 하나. 미국산 테슬라는 FSD가 버젓이 돌아다니는데, 같은 소프트웨어를 쓰는 중국산 테슬라는 못 켬.

국내에서 FSD가 허용된 건 미국산 Model S, X, Cybertruck뿐임. 한미 FTA 덕에 미국 인증을 그대로 인정받아서임. 반면 국내 판매의 98~99%인 상하이산 Model 3, Y는 인증 특례 대상이 아니라 900만원짜리 옵션을 사고도 기능이 잠겨 있고, 집단소송까지 갔음. 규정 개정은 빨라야 2027년임.

웃긴 지점은 이거임. 소프트웨어는 같은 거고, 버전이 오를수록 사고율은 내려감. 그런데 더 안전한 최신 버전을 돌릴 수 있는 차는 서류 때문에 서 있고, 그보다 못한 버전은 오늘도 도로를 달리고 있음. 안전을 위한 규제가 정확히 안전을 늦추는 중임.

"나는 일본의 실력을 잘 안다. 지금 아시아에서 가장 강한 무력을 지닌 나라다. 나는 일본이 무력만한 도덕력을 겸하여 가지기를 동양인의 명예를 위하여서 원한다. 나는 진정으로 일본이 망하기를 원치 않고 좋은 나라가 되기를 원한다. 이웃나라를 유린하는 것은 결코 일본의 이익이 아니 될 것이다. 원한 품은 2천만을 억지로 국민 중에 포함하는 것보다 우정 있는 2천만을 이웃 국민으로 ��는 것이 일본의 복일 것이다. 그러므로 대한의 독립을 주장하는 것은 동양의 평화와 일본의 복리까지도 위하는 것이다."

독립운동가 분들의 말 한마디 한마디는 품격과 격조가 넘치고 감히 내가 재단할 그릇이 아니라는 걸 또 한 번 느끼는 대목이다. 마음가짐 자체가 대인이고 대단한 사상가라고도 할 수 있겠다.

FSD v14 Lite가 배포된 직후
우측 리피터 카메라가 꺼지고
긴급제동, 오토 와이퍼,
차선이탈 경고 등이 모두 사라졌다고 합니다.

서비스센터에서는
HW3 컴퓨터 고장으로 진단했고
교체를 안내했습니다.

80대 부부 소유 차량이라
비용 부담이 큰 상황이라고 하네요.

v14 Lite가 HW3 보드에
부하를 줘서 문제를 일으킨 건 아닌지
의문을 제기하고 있습니다.

아직 공�� 확인된 대규모 이슈는 아니고,
냉각수나 노후화 가능성도 함께 거론되고 있습니다.

We've identified PCS electronics in pre-2026 Cybertrucks that do not meet our reliability standards and have made design changes to address this in newer vehicles.

Next steps for existing owners:
– Model year 2026: PCS warranty is now standard at 7 years/70k miles
– Model year 2024/2025: PCS warranty extended to 8 years/150k miles

Starting in the next few weeks, we will reimburse any charges for those who already required a PCS replacement and paid out of pocket.

We're working hard on increasing supply chain availability of this improved version.

As an immediate remedy, we've rolled out a software update so you can keep Supercharging even if a PCS failure occurs, and have enabled free Supercharging for trucks waiting for part availability

– Cybercab began production at Gigafactory Texas

– Tesla Semi remains on track for volume production this year at our new factory in Nevada

This software build distills the driving behavior from AI4’s v14 series into both the camera & compute configuration of AI3, bringing destination options & speed profiles. It also addresses challenging driving scenarios with improved proactive & reactive responsiveness

– Making progress on construction & equipment procurement for our semiconductor fab in Austin

– Rolled out Summer Release:
Self-Driving stats are now available in the mobile app

Grok can make phone calls, search & play music, and adjust climate controls, among other things

Robotaxi
– Started production of Cybercab, our purpose-built autonomous EV designed to be the workhorse of our Robotaxi fleet

– Began offering employee rides in Cybercabs on our GFTX campus in July

– Expanded unsupervised rides to the entire Austin metro area & launched unsupervised rides in Miami, Orlando & Tampa in July

– Record net new subscriptions in Q2

– Record FSD attach rates in North America, with over half of new deliveries including FSD subscriptions

– Received additional approvals in Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark & Belgium, with customers in these countries driving over 50 million kilometers (31 million miles) on FSD as of July
