THREE FOREIGN NATIONALS DRUG DEALERS BUSTED|
The Welkom Anti-Gang Unit nabbed three (3) suspects and the seized illegal drugs and cash in Parys over the weekend.
On Friday, 24 July 2026, operators from the unit were deployed in Parys for Crime Combating duties. While patrolling the town, members noticed suspicious movements at a residential property in Kort Street. Following an on-site intelligence gathering, information revealed that a foreign nationals residing at the premises was actively involved in drug peddling. Members immediately applied for a search warrant, which was granted by the Parys Magistrate’s Court.
On Saturday, 25 July 2026, the team executed a tactical approach on the premises. Upon arrival, operators caught a 48-year-old male red-handed in the middle of a drug transaction. He was immediately restrained, and drugs alongside cash were found in his possession.
The search continued inside the residence, where a second foreign national, aged 46, was discovered. Further searches of the house yielded additional illicit substances, resulting in the seizure of a substantial quantity of Crystal Meth and Mandrax.
Follow-up investigations instantly led the operators to a secondary location in the Mandela Section. Upon searching the premises, a 31-year-old male suspect was arrested after being found in possession of additional Crystal Meth and Mandrax.
All three suspects, aged 31, 46, and 48, remain in police custody and are expected to appear in the Parys Magistrate’s Court soon to face charges of dealing in drugs.
