As a mentally ill person I firmly believe that dropping out of life for any length of time will make you more mentally ill and you might never get back on track. Do not do it, I’ve seen this happen to several people over the years.
My ex was a deeply miserable person. She was pretty much perpetually torturing herself, and one of the biggest moments that jumped out to me was when she admitted to me that she had never planned her entire life on making it to 18. Low and behold, she hit 23 and was absolutely nowhere in life because she faced every single issue she had ever faced with "I'll just kill myself later, so I never need to deal with this".
I know that someone who's struggling right now might not like to hear it, it's not exactly a comfy thing, but you don't get a choice in the matter of living. You have a life, you will live it, and the ONLY choice you really get is how that life will be lived. Do you want to run away from everything perpetually, or would you rather live life with some guts and enjoy that shit? You don't get a choice, so then what's the cost?
i recommend learning more about history because this is just being young. and it’s the kind of nihilism governments rely on to dull the masses and quell class consciousness. humans have survived plagues, war, and genocides since the dawn of man! don’t accept nihilism. keep going
i think a lot of people need to start grappling with the reality that you will have to live your whole life. you are not the first generation to be convinced you live in the end times, and you will not be the last.
