Did somebody say...
It won't cost you a penny. What a difference compared to the eye-watering commissions charged by some well known delivery companies!
@Doosra_kitchen@MarinaOLoughlin I suggest reading this article. In approving Amazon’s investment into Deliveroo, the British government has supported a loss making business which preys on hospitality. https://t.co/nS0FE87QFb
@Doosra_kitchen@MarinaOLoughlin Deliveroo & JustEat have predatory pricing which reduces margins so much that restaurants & takeaways rely on volume to make any money. HOWEVER, if social distancing is adhered to, most kitchen teams are smaller and cannot deliver volume leading to delayed or cancelled orders.

Amazon backed @deliveroo is ripping off small businesses like ours by slapping us with a rate hike to 35% whilst the chains only pay half of that. /1

Behaviourally, people are more accepting of ordering & paying for their food in advance than paying a deposit. It works for takeaways and this is no different except people are enjoying their food in a restaurant rather than at home. #NoMoreNoShows with Bookslots.
If restaurants make smart choices, they can be sustainable, maintain integrity by using top quality ingredients and support their suppliers. We’re in it together.
Been talking to a lot of other fellow small producers supplying the hospitality sector over the last few days & the verdict is it's very tough out there, the U.K. is going to be a much poorer place if we lose them, common theme is that it's going back to buying cheap ingredients
