In the long run, the thing that sells books the most is word of mouth.
This goes 10x for books that aren’t launched with big marketing or publicity support i.e. 95% of books.
What I’m saying is, talk up the books you love, because their survival depends on it.
Person: What book are you reading?
Me: *shows book*
Person: *takes book and immediately bends back the cover to read the first page*
Me: *unsheathes samurai sword*
You know people say ya novels are unrealistic but when I was 15 my ex bf started dating a new girl, and I hatched a plan to convince HER ex-boyfriend to win her back because he still loved her, and in the process we fell for each other and dated for 2 years.
So.
SO.
