Wing the Evil Twin

The Devil's Elbow: Where evil twins and friends come together to lovingly snark Point Horror and other teen genre fiction.

#31DaysOfHorror Movie 1: The Coven (2015)

This was certainly something. Honestly, a surprising amount of fun until the last quarter or so became frustrating and disjointed.

Originally read this as someTHING was watching + Bark as the title, and you know where my mind went. Alas.

I'll still watch it, though.

[Bloody Disgusting @BDisgusting]

A man wakes up tied to a tree and left for dead, but someone is watching in BARK.

The single-location psychological thriller hits VOD on June 13 via @darkskyfilms

ONLY in post-production. Damn it, type better, Wing.

[Wing the Evil Twin @bookshelf_Wing]

In case you were wondering, IMDB says this is still on in post-production, because the world hates me.

Give me a new werewolf movie or give me death.

I love The Descent, Dog Soldiers, and Little Red Riding Hood retellings, so this news delights me.

Love this thread about Fear Street: Prom Queen and the Fear Street books in general.

[The Fear Tweet Saga 🔪 @fear_tweet]

I'm a week late but I finally watched Fear Street: Prom Queen and I thought it was an okay enough time- cool kills and gore between what's admittedly a pretty barebones plot and characters I didn't find all that interesting (except Megan maybe) but there's some fun stuff-

[Wing the Evil Twin @bookshelf_Wing]

@Spongey445 @fear_tweet Excellent way to phrase it.

[Wing the Evil Twin @bookshelf_Wing]

@pulpfbooks The trilogy was SO GOOD. I've rewatched it several times. Should do that again soon.

[Wing the Evil Twin @bookshelf_Wing]

Watched the new Fear Street: Prom Queen, and at first I was all WTF is this mess, the trilogy was amazing and this is terrible, but then I leaned into the fact that it felt like a Fear Street book in all the worst (i.e., best) ways. It was Stine to its very core.

[Wing the Evil Twin @bookshelf_Wing]

I mean, it was kind of also the best bad idea...

Happy Beaver Moon! I recapped The Werewolf of Washington (1973) because there's nothing like a political werewolf movie a week after a national election. No, it wasn't a good idea. @bookshelf_Wing #snarkatthemoon #lycansubscribe

And so ends my October 2024 31 Days of Horror. Not too shabby considering I traveled half the month, between work and personal trips.

#31DaysofHorror Movie 17: Below

Riding the high of Meth Gator, we tried Below. Mistake. Badly paced, no character development, far too little actual shark attacks for the first quarter of the movie even though it is only just over an hour runtime.

No trailer. You're welcome.

Leaving the Murder House behind for the second part of our horror land trip. Happy Halloween! 🎃 👻☠️

Lesson learned: mushroom coffee smells like death when brewed. 🤢🤢🤢

[Wing the Evil Twin @bookshelf_Wing]

Guess what I'm watching at the theater. I love you, Alamo.
