but they knew I loved it. And that it was something important to me. I read the first book when I was about 8. They knew having those DVDs would mean something special to me. So they got it for me. It is still one of my treasured possessions.

Neither of my parents particularly like, or really get, fantasy media of any kind. And I know the DVD set cost them a lot of money. Especially as we didn't have much. So for them to drop that much on something they probably thought was a bit of a waste of that money...
