Connor Storrie will guest-star in FOUR episodes of Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 19. His role was initially planned for just one episode, the showrunner Erica Messer tells TV Insider.

"First of all, we met Connor in Episode 4 and it was directed by Adam Rodriguez and he read for us. And so we were like, ‘Who’s this guy? He’s great. We love him.’ And he was only supposed to be in Episode 4 and he was so good that we were like, ‘No, he’s going to have a bigger role than we thought. This was before any of us knew what his fall preview would be of Heated Rivalry. He’s just so good — not only crazy talented, but so kind, so funny, so wonderful to have on set. So, it was one of those things that we kind of adjusted the back half of the season to have his character have more agency in the story we were telling because he was so good."

Peter Peter tells @iHeartRadioCA that "It's You" from the Heated Rivalry soundtrack was a last-minute replacement:

Interviewer: Were you watching the scene while you were creating that song [“It’s You”from episode two]?

Peter: To tell you the truth, it was a song replacement.

We had trouble with the license of the [planned] song, because I'm not the master owner. …It was complicated. And I understood also the side of my label, but I was stuck in between. So, I needed to replace it. We didn't have time to negotiate forever. Deadlines were pretty tight.

I knew that I needed to replace it. Okay, I'm going to do it. It was called Lisbonne [from the album Éther], and I remember being with Brendan [Brady, executive producer] on the call and being exhausted. I thought this this scene was locked in, but in the end, I have to add that on my plate.

And Brendan said, “You know what, just take a break. Tomorrow don't work.”

When I hung up with him, all my synths were already connected to my computer and everything. So I just played the arpeggio and chords around it, and then I was like, “Okay. I'm going to take a break.”

I also recorded the vocal, just like, don't sing real words. And then, “Okay, now I'm taking a break.”

I took my Sunday off and on Monday, I turned everything on. Went back at it, and I was hoping that it was still magical the way I left it last time. And it was!

So it was a whole thing of replacing something that was already working. But it's better.

I've seen the footage so many times that even when I wasn't looking at it, I knew everything that was happening because I watched it so many times. But yeah, it was to connect with the characters.
