@HMRCcustomers I have an issue with my self assessment and need to speak to someone but when I ring the phone number on the website I just get an automated message saying “sorry, you have not been given access to this service”. I’ve tried the online chat but doesn’t work.
@HMRCcustomers I’m have tried doing this but just get a message saying “Our advisers are not available to discuss your query at the moment.” Do they have specific hours?
@HMRCcustomers Yes, I submit my self assessment every year online. Everything is activated and set up as it should be and my return has been successfully submitted. I have an issue with the tax owed and how it will be paid/collected and there is no avenue for resolving this online.
"Childcare is not babysitting. It is early years education: every child deserves access to it. If you want us to contribute to the economy, if you want us to keep having children, if you want them to succeed, then we need a good quality, affordable, accessible childcare system"🙏
@EarlyYearsEqual @PregnantScrewed This is a really important point! Thanks for sharing. Totally agree that the narrative needs to change and become more respectful - that’s another, different kind of investment that government should be driving.
Please take a moment to add your name to this incredibly important letter from @PregnantScrewed demanding better investment in #childcare infrastructure, and a commitment to this in the spring budget.

But despite their supposed desire to see more parents in work, they have failed miserably to recognise that the childcare system is essential infrastructure and to invest in it properly. This has to change.
#ChildcareCrisis#UKChildcare
Our government say they want to get stay at home parents back into work. They dare to call them ‘economically inactive’ - ignoring the HUGE contribution they make to the functioning of our society and economy by caring for children and keeping the country’s households running.
The Tories are late to the party on this and what they’re proposing falls far short of what’s needed, but at least they seem to have FINALLY got the memo that investing in childcare is a necessity not a luxury.

The cost of meeting the nurses' pay demand - £1.6bn 🏥
Cost of Sunak's bank tax giveaway - £7.3bn 💸
They have the money to give nurses a proper pay rise- they just don't want to.
RT if you back a real pay rise for our nurses 👊
