Investor focused solely on UK companies, mainly small an mid cap. +90% gain over 5 years, beating the FTSE-All Share. Entire portfolio & trades in my Substack.
My latest writeup on 4 shares - #TPT#YOU#BGO#CCT
Two of them I've sold from my portfolio☹️.
One I still hold and it is 📈.
The last is rather intriguing! A little bit more research here could validate it as a multi-bagger 🚀.

My latest buy: Portmeirion #PMP
Interest mix of shareholders: Lord Lee and some activist type funds. After a -50% crash, deeply discounted fundraising, and currently trading at a huge discount to TNAV.... Intrigued?
See why I think 4 imminent catalysts will cause a re-rating.
An update as of 16:50hrs.
The turnout for the 'Unite the Kingdom' protest was too big to fit into Whitehall. Protesters left the route onto Victoria Embankment and sought to access Whitehall from multiple directions as shown on the map below.
When officers moved in to stop them they faced unacceptable violence. They were assaulted with kicks and punches. Bottles, flares and other projectiles were thrown.
Nine arrests have been made so far for various offences, but many more people have been identified as committing offences. We will find them and they will face police action, even if it is not possible to do so today.
Officers are continuing to face aggression in multiple locations, in particular at the north of Whitehall as they work to create a safe exit route for those who have been taking part in the Stand Up To Racism protest.
@mark_wharrier After decades of mid-level management being demonised, it's ironic that we might see a future where we only have them.... Responsible for barking orders to AI.... 😂
@BrilliantLeader@JamieCDubya That's a bit unfair of a statement to make.
Somero IPOed in the UK in 2006. And Spectra in 2011. I'd say the UK markets back then were a good choice for capital raising compared to now.
Profit warnings: are they possible to predict? I explore this topic with an example of a nasty -30% drop recently in Sosandar, to see if the warning signs were there. #SOS $SOS.L

After a new record in May for monthly gains, June was also very fruitful.

@rhomboid1MF That's a pretty steep fundraising discount, for not much raised.... Shows how desperate they were, how little interest by the market...
R&D director with huge shareholding declined to participate....! Most important person in this jam tomorrow company.
@hurdle_rate Good to see one of the IPOs this year performing well! Could drum up more interest from investors for more IPOs, and tempt more companies to list. The UK markets desperately need more new listings...
My latest weekly roundup of shares I looked at!
Interestingly, there is a nuclear play, an EV play, and also a liquid asset play out of these three companies...

This week, I looked at three interesting companies! Including one dumping inventory, a CEO sell that is a buy signal.... #VCT#BKS#TPT

@patviera It might be an RCS because the news isn't financially significant. But it is strategically significant.
#SPSY have found a banknote printer that endorses their polymer substrate, Fusion. Not only that, CdM pitch to get contracts to print banknotes for other central banks.
@TraderDiaryX Yeah, disappointing update! Always a risk with these rail contracts out of their hands.
Strong order intake of £17m (H1). More (run rate) than the £17.3m whole of last FY and £25.5m the FY before.
Plus the new pensions regulations will unlock £3m+ surplus to take out
(I hold)

@MarkKleinmanSky Wow, I can't believe its gotten this bad for IPOs in the UK... the market has plenty of fintechs + small banks... so there is already a ready-made pool of investors familiar with this type of Co.
Or is Shawbrook just seeking a delusional multiple, with all listed comps lower?
I recently bought James Cropper #CRPR as I think it is way too cheap given its solid TNAV, USA manufacturing, and a division that might be worth multiple the market cap.

My Q1 fund performance. Down -1% for YTD. Disappointing overall, not matching the FTSE All-Share, but beating the FTSE250 and AIM100 comfortably.
