At #Kassala Teaching Hospital, @UNDP, in partnership with @FMOH_SUDAN and with support from @GlobalFund, inaugurated a new oxygen plant, supporting continuity of care & keeping critical services running when every minute matters.

Oxygen is no longer rushed in during emergencies in #AlManagil, it’s now produced daily and integrated into the local health system.

Officially handed over today, the @GlobalFund supported oxygen plant ensures last-mile delivery to hospitals and surrounding health facilities.

@UNDP’s oxygen PSA plant has safely arrived and is ready to serve hospitals across White Nile State.

With capacity to fill over 100 cylinders a day, the plant will boost access to life-saving medical oxygen, thanks to @GlobalFund support.

🚨South Darfur, #Sudan, is facing a deadly #cholera outbreak. As of 5 August, the Ministry of Health in South Darfur has reported 1,440 suspected cases and 74 deaths. We are supporting cholera treatment centres which are now overwhelmed.

This situation could have been avoided with vaccines, however they are still not even available in Darfur.
