@JeePeeLeLee@wyshynski@Aportzline While that’s fair, it was the final stretch, the Jackets were in control of their own destiny vs lots of teams they were battling for position with. Multiple games Jet kept the team in it and the team needed a goal and both players folded at the opportunity to step up.
@Matthew1517441@JacketsInsider He is still young but very reliable in his own end and crucial moments. Things like tha is hard for a young player. He needs to find his offensive game again because he has the skill to be his rookie self again (which I think is a win)
@mark_scheig@CBJcenter I don’t get this obsession with keeping these lines consistent. 12 goals in 7 games would have me switching up the lines to find a spark. Monahan and Garland stop working after 3 games.
@Macman12333@TheBlueJunkies Boone has definitely taken some bad penalties and is not his old self anymore. He needs to be 3/4th line and start adapting a grinder role. He should be the one leading the charge with hitting and scrums. Thats how he can lead this team.
@BruhLarsen Maybe a hot take? But the difference is in the captains. Foligno bought into Torts and his way, and that was infectious to the rest of the team. I’m not sure this leadership has done the same for their coaches.
@TheBlueJunkies Tuesday, Idk how the let them come back and don’t start banging bodies or starting scrums. Something to hopefully wear out Carolina, especially since they play them next game. Then Carolina comes out with a 3-0 jump, and still no banging them into the boards or scrum. Pathetic.
@LaneyRobinson31@JacketsInsider Effort and how you actually play are different. You can skate as hard as you want, but if you are negatively impacting the team, it doesn’t matter how much effort you give.
@TheBlueJunkies I miss spoke, 10/23/91 was the line combination, although not the biggest sample size and now two wingers on Bones shit list. Question would be where do you put garland?
@TheBlueJunkies Only trade if it’s to help get a top line left winger on the first line. Even though I would put KJ there. If I remember correctly, 91/19/86 was a top analytical line the little times they have played together.
@TheBlueJunkies I think he’s a player the Jackets rushed. He should have spent another year at Michigan focusing on getting stronger and working on his overall game. But now I think he’s not with the right line mates.
