This weekend there will be rallies across Australia for the National Weekend of Action against the deaths of First Nations people in custody and an end to systematic racism.
We are fighting for justice and we will no stop until we see SYSTEMATIC CHANGE.
#BLMPERTH
This is incredibly concerning. @DanielAndrewsMP needs to #CleanOutPrisons by releasing First Nations young people from prison, especially those at risk of COVID-19 (immunocompromised, people with disability, asthma, chronic health issues) before it is too late.
This is terrifying. @DanielAndrewsMP must release Aboriginal people from prison now to prevent blak deaths in custody. This is serious. Our lives are on the line.
#CleanOutPrisons
Releasing people from Victoria prisons right now is the responsible choice for everyone. A #CovidVic prison outbreak spreads rapidly. Reducing prison population prevents spread & means more hospital beds for everyone. Decarceration, not lockdown, is answer.
#CleanOutPrisons
Aboriginal Hostel Musgrave Park (192 Boundary St) is on the market and if sold off as intended, we risk losing a vital resource for black ppl + community. We need Blak spaces here in the inner city especially in places like West End. Stop pushing us out!! @KenWyattMP step up.

Tbh idgaf how many yt people think you’re deadly. If you are violent towards the most vulnerable people in your community, your activism is worthless and you are gammin.
Shame #4corners labelling it a BLM episode but fail to highlight the 437 Aboriginal people who died in police custody w/ 0 convictions. Makes sense why they asked to use mums image then “decided not to make a montage of photos” 🤯 their faces were unimportant
“we must remember too, that there is a price to be paid for speaking out, and we wish to honour all of those who speak out everyday with or without a megaphone.”

People in positions of influence need to encourage abolishionist perspectives in the context of justice. The moment you cancel the idea of abolishing prisons is the moment you cancel black lives. Reform in these systems will continue to kill.
Just in SES taking away donations and personal supplies to undisclosed locations. Refusing to respond to residents questions about why they’re taking some of their necessities that they’ve personally invested in away without reason
Hundreds have marched through central #Perth today for a #BlackLivesMatter rally. Powerful speeches by youth & elders to a mainly young crowd, impeccably organised by @boorloojustice
