@stoppfeenin@PotentPondering It is code for enforcing policies / practices based on race. And orientation, And gender. and disability.... Need I go on? In theory DEI policies should benefit everyone equally. In practice, the same prejudice that was there before is there now, it's just been obfuscated.
@stoppfeenin@PotentPondering DEI has been corrupted by people's inability to not be racist or prejudiced. We turn everything in a "us vs them" situation. DEI on paper sounds wonderful, in practice.... not so much.
@wailsapp It was clear when I ran across your project a while back that it was exactly what was needed. Keep putting out great stuff and I I'll keep supporting :)
@MartinDotNet What is true now (.NET is as portable as any lang) was not true when MSFT released it. They were a very different org and wanted the JVM dollar (that never existed, rip to Sun). The CLR was such a joke. Anyone who tried to run the CLR without Windows suffered.
“There is a cult of ignorance ..... and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that being in "leadership" means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge'.” - Issac Asimov when asked about our org.
The first response I got was "You didn't evaluate all our use cases" . That person came around to their credit. I suppose I could have done it unilaterally (ala AWS) but I shouldn't have to fight to innovate and solve real problems. Enjoying retirement right now that's for sure
@MartinDotNet@rawkode@opentelemetry Yeah I struggled with how to handle this with the DD Receiver as well. The fact is the OTel spec came too late and now there is fragmentation on the format of this data.
At least this sounds like an easy fix :P
Also, I can't believe i'm saying this, but I think the new album tops Controller by Misery Signals. Controller came out 15 years ago, I still listen t least once a week, until now. If you two did a double headliner tour my head would explode!
@rolotomassiband Prescience into Drips. My 2 favs. Tonight in SD when you closed out with them. I haven't felt that alive in years. I didn't know I could still feel like much emotion and energy, stop that years go. Love my two I got the pillows. See you tomorrow
@rhykker@MrLlamaSC Wow. It was very obvious loot was broken in D3. I think that reviewer got seduced by the combat feel and animations. I remember my first few clicks in D3, I was a monk and it felt very kinetic. No game has top that until D4 :)
