Essex girl gone West. Frequent baker/eater of cake. Laughs lots. Friend to 2 hens. Tolerated by a cat. May grow up if someone convinces me it's worthwhile.

Not one person on Earth is not rooting for the cat.

Sometimes you just need a basket full of baby otters to make your day complete. Oh, look what I found! You can thank me later...

@ThatEricAlper Nik Kershaw with a group of friends. Parents of the girl whose birthday it was paid for tickets and dropped us off. T'Pau were the support band. Brilliant night!

I’m Gen X. I spent my childhood terrified of quicksand, spontaneous human combustion and the Bermuda Triangle.
Turns out I should’ve been worried about my knees.

If you don’t say ‘oh big stretch!’ to your cat even if it’s a small or medium stretch you are a psychopath

Remembering the legendary Tom Petty, who passed away 9 years ago today. From “American Girl” to “Free Fallin’,” his songs still travel highways and heartstrings, reminding us why his voice will always endure.

It’s 1983 and you're playing Star Wars at the arcades for the first time, after watching the movies. Words cannot describe it.

For perspective: other popular games around that time were Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Qbert, Joust, and BurgerTime... all great in their own way. But Star Wars literally catapulted you into a whole new universe.

The graphics were nuts, and so were the digitized voices and sound effects straight from the movie (“Use the Force, Luke!”). To top it all off, John Williams’s iconic score delivered maximum nerd chills.

This game will forever be linked to one of the best arcade eras ever.

@dineen20dineen Still do

@moremarriott Southwest maybe?
