people will be alright as long as they recognize what’s happening, embrace the technology, and start building for themselves.
you got this and we got you over at @bootupstudios 🫡
Yesterday I delivered a "Leveraging AI for Your Startup Ops" presentation to the Center for Black Entrepreneurship’s LIFT Cohort, before providing the entire cohort with access to the @bootupstudios platform.
While getting more users on the platform is always the goal, the presentation was an even more valuable opportunity for us to gain feedback on the product from 30 of our target customers. We heard direct responses on some of the most valuable apps for us to allow you connect your agents to within the platform, alongside a list of future features that directly align with the needs of emerging entrepreneurs.
As an entrepreneur, you should be optimizing for time spent talking to customers. Your ability to continue to deliver value to them over time is the most direct indicator of your ability to survive and grow; and the best way to understand their future needs is to stay tapped in with them through consistent feedback opportunities.
while February was our first month not growing revenue MoM, we more than doubled our B2C individual user sign ups.
going to market leveraging the B2B channels we’ve had access to due to my prior body of work is without a doubt the most efficient strategy, but for us to reach the scale we really want to and be helping 10M+ people start their own businesses annually we will have to to crack the B2C angle.
everything can’t always be up and to the right, but if you understand what it takes to get to where you want to go and are consistent with your actions you will get there 🫡
what we’ve been saying was going to happen… is happening now.
“Within the next year, I believe the majority of companies will reach the same conclusion and make similar structural changes,” Dorsey said. “I’d rather get there honestly and on our own terms than be forced into it reactively.”
to all my white collar warriors out there, it’s time to strap in, gonna be a bumpy road with a lot more announcements like these until UBI hits.
If you or anyone you know were one of the 800+ impacted by the layoffs at eBay, shoot me a message and I'll send you access to the @bootupstudios platform for free for a month.
I know these are incredibly hard times for knowledge workers across multiple industries, especially tech. We want to help you figure out what's next without taking on additional financial pressure to do so.
some of these student entrepreneurs at @RiceUniversity are cooking up so crazy that I think one of em is about to flip the whole secondary education system in the next decade
#1 entrepreneurship program in the country for a reason and proud @bootupstudios partner
This is exactly why we’ve been getting so much love from the university side @bootupstudios.
Underemployment for recent grads is 41% and there’s no difference in the unemployment rate between college educated and non college educated men in their 20’s.
Insanity.
and the Q1 layoffs have officially begun… Meta is getting rid of 1,500 people this week despite posting record revenue numbers in 2025.
Blame it on AI, globalization, interest rates, etc.
At the end of the day the largest companies generating the most revenue are not the safest place for your future.
Investing in yourself and your skills and leveraging them to create your own economic sovereignty is your greatest security for yourself and your family in this world.
we closed out Q4 with 100% MoM growth since going live with @bootupstudios and are opening up Q1 with a pilot with one of the largest universities in the country.
there’s value in going hard until the whistle, and momentum compounds.
This is a direct result of AI making individuals more productive, & is why I’m bearish on the job market for the next 3-5 years. Fewer humans are needed to drive the same revenue.
Technology is the greatest deflationary force known to man.
A few learnings from working through an opportunity with one of the largest universities in the country:
For entrepreneurs navigating B2B sales, institutions don’t buy software, the individuals within the institution do.
Progress depends on understanding who feels the problem, who has influence, who carries risk, and who controls budget.
Once you understand those dynamics, you’re able to guide conversations in a way that leads to conversions.
every perceived “L” that I’ve taken over the past decade or so has only led to more financial upside… there’s prolly a lesson in there somewhere for someone.
take more risks, there are no such thing as L’s only lessons, etc.
you get the vibes. the only way you lose is by opting out.
every day that you wake up and go out there and attack your puspose and mission with all of your spirit is another day that you get one step closer to everything you deserve.
