Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred gradually developed from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence.
It took time. #GenocidePreventionDay
Received a huge, confusing compliment (?) from my 6 yo-
“Mom, you have a nice flat face. Sometimes I look at your bald head (points at my forehead) and think, what if a little baby chick popped out of there?”
I’m open to interpretations😒#kindergartencompliments
5yo threw a coin into wishing well. I asked him what he wished and Grandma told him not to tell me or it wouldn’t come true. Later he pulled me aside and whispered, “I wished that dinosaurs were still alive”. Glad we dodged that bullet 😳
My 5 yo son just told me, “I’m gonna have to find my own wife when I grow up because I won’t be able to marry you cause you’ll be dead when I’m older” ☠️
My child just described the name of a character in Ice Age as, “you know the naughtiest word in the world that starts with an ‘F’? It’s rhymes with that word but instead it starts with a B.” I’m just glad he’s really got the rhyming thing down 😳
For some reason I thought Mare of Easttown was a British show and I thought Mare was like a British term for Detective. Was incredibly confused for most of 1st ep until I figured out Mare was her name 🙃
Have blasted @HamiltonMusical soundtrack w/ my 4yo for over a year and prepping him for #HamiltonFilm since it was announced. At 8:30am today he excitedly asked, “Mama, are you ready for wine and HAMILTON??!” @Lin_Manuel (not sure why he asked about the wine 🤷♀️😉🍷)
My 4yo hadn’t gone to the bathroom in a few hours so I asked him, “hey, do you need to go to the bathroom?”.. he replied, “no, I already did that yesterday” ... 🤷♀️
