Sometimes I think about how nineteenth century abolitionists tried to get people to boycott cotton produced by slave labor, and people were like, “Noooo��I love my fashionable clothes too much and cotton produced without slave labor is too expensive and too hard to find.”

I still think a lot about when I emailed one of my physics professors asking about something that wasn’t in the notes and got a curt “it’s in the notes” reply but my study partner martin who emailed the exact same question got “dear martin,” and an essay length response lol
