@MarkJCarney And none of this ends up in the Yukon. Don’t say “Canada’s North”. How disappointing, considering you just met with Yukon leadership to discuss the major infrastructure needs of the territory.
@AirbnbHelp And thank you for solidifying my decision to leave Airbnb. Here is a tip worth considering: try listening to guests when they say they are being harassed or are unfairly targeted. And stop wasting guests’ time with a public-facing ‘Help’ account that is feigned goodwill.
At what point do you no longer use @Airbnb? I’ve been loyal for 12 years with several dozen stays and never thought I would see the day I stopped. But it turns out that @AirbnbHelp prioritizes helping the host over the guest. Basically I rented…1/2
a unit that hadn’t been cleaned. Messy beds, full trash, dirty dishes, etc. I left and then the host demanded $ for damages and left a negative review. After so many yrs of being a great guest, Airbnb just refused to help. The result is likely a shift to VRBO and back to hotels.
From the moment I first laid eyes on Burrows, he was my favourite player. Always happy to hear him sing praises of the #Canucks and the great city of #Vancouver 🏒
And once again, a Yukon resident in acute alcohol withdrawal is not able to access detox support in Whitehorse because no beds are available at Withdrawal Management Services. No beds for people trying so hard to get sober. @yukonhss
“Nearly 90% of people living with type 1 diabetes and nearly 70% of people living with type 2 diabetes experience shame and blame for having diabetes, according to this new survey.”
The last line hits home: “I suggest you don’t get sick. Or if you do, that you have the means to go Outside for treatment.”
The fine folk working in our hospital have been saying it for years: we are quickly approaching crisis. Now, it does seem we are in it.
@YukonPatient@TracyMcPheeRS Interestingly enough, this was also being done in the mid-90s in the Yukon. I’ll never forget my baby’s little box - it even came with a form to fill out that went right over to the Yukon News to announce the birth.
Spent a beautiful day visiting family in Tuktoyaktuk. The little hamlet is bustling with folks fresh off a fall hunt. I’m so in love with little Arctic towns. Kids playing ball in the streets. ATVs. Colourful doors and happy people. What a great way to spend the day.
Chief Smith of Kwanlin Dün First Nation just declared a Substance Use Emergency for the Nation. This is the third First Nation in the Yukon to declare an emergency over the prevalence of alcohol/opioid deaths.
Federal government looking an advice on how a national formulary could be developed and not developing a national formulary: MacDonald from @GovCanHealth#CDA_AMC
@PMPRB_CEPMB This can’t exist in isolation of the means in which the rollout of the biosimilars occurs. Switching brand with biosimilars occurs regularly w/out patient or physician knowledge. e.g the “complaint” might be contingent upon the forced means in which someone may have a reaction.
@NICEComms Doesn’t this drug come with serious side effects that might not be worth an additional 4-6 months of reduced progression? Maybe start there instead of tying it to cost savings. It just comes off as insensitive.
