@imlordkai Because as of late I've noticed pokemon fans will jump on a hate train simply because it didn't meet their standards.
Let me elaborate on the issue in this logic though with an example. Capcom releases Monster Hunter Wilds as a hot mess, and still didn't have a rage response.
@Yoshiware2 Pokemon games have been hard since at least emerald, and the sinnoh games traumatized a generation twice.
The games started holding your hand too much in gen 6, and ironically ZA brought us back genuine difficulty spikes that keep you on your toes
@TweetingGaruga People want pokemon to fail because their father company doesn't know what it means to play nice
Nintendo is a meme of the law at this point, and for a good portion of it a lot of peoplw try to look at pokemon company without them being involved
@TN_20_ Sword and shield were their last fan service games, i feel like their games with a new debut of some kind are the ones with the elbow grease, be it main title or spinoff
@DarkWaterBeach They're not even the same kind of beast tamer, their similarities end at rock paper scissors because monsters have individual weaknesses, not predictable charted ones, a hunter has no idea how to fight something until they learn how it works
@Lewchube The random encounters didn't make you manage your resources, all battles do, most modern games are just too easy for seasoned players who have played any of the gen 3, 4, or 5 games because they have lower levels and hold your hand, excluding ZA
