@betterlivingdot Oh this is just weird lmfao i have no clue what that’s about i can only speak on my experience booking & attending shows my friends booked there

[Bored Friends @boredfriendsnyc]

@betterlivingdot It’s a shitty situation all around i wish they would’ve cut the band some slack but that’s just not how they operate, and it’s hard to argue it bc there’s nothing objectively wrong with how they operate, people either fuck w it or they don’t

[Bored Friends @boredfriendsnyc]

@betterlivingdot Nah 100%! Some leniency would be appreciated but they’re just stern on it since it’s the only revenue they get. It’s not like a room fee where even if tix don’t cover room, the bar does fine bc they’re an established bar. rubulad is only a venue & only open when there’s a show

[Bored Friends @boredfriendsnyc]

@betterlivingdot They deff should’ve let the bookers know when first locking down a date though. When I booked there they were transparent about the minimum & I checked in periodically w the bartender to see where we were at. Hoping this was just a misunderstanding otherwise that’s really shitty

[Bored Friends @boredfriendsnyc]

@betterlivingdot They have a stern bar minimum, it’s kinda what keeps the place operating since the staff just gets paid an hourly wage directly from the bookers. It’s wack, esp when the minimum isn’t met and you have to pay out of pocket but it’s totally legal & reasonable in their case
