.@SecScottBessent: "A nation that cannot manufacture, mine, ship, or refine its needs gradually cedes its strength and sovereignty to others. That is a dangerous dependency for any country; it is an unacceptable one for the United States of America."
This applies to every retard that thinks Iran should be left alone to build whatever nuclear weapon they want.
People would rather not inconvenience themselves with short term higher oil prices and let the next generation deal with a nuclear armed Iran.
Boomers: "I prefer peace. But if trouble must come, let it come in my children's time. I want to be comfortable and they are a bunch of ungrateful brats anyway."
From my time hooking up, I have so much controversial knowledge about female desire I cannot share.
The sexual dynamic women display to other women is not the same dynamic they display in private to a man they desire.
Free money in the form of UBI would be the highest contributor to suicide and civilisational collapse. Birth rates would continue to plummet and society will fracture at ever faster rates. This would accelerate till we bring back the hard times and a sense of purpose and structure to the world.
"Nothing moves if nothing moves" has been the quote that's been repeating in my head all week.
It's a fundamental understanding of agency. If you want things to happen in your life you have to make them happen. Stop waiting, start doing.
Stop waiting for things to move you and start moving things yourself.
I compare Trump hitting IRAN now to Roosevelt attacking Japan BEFORE Pearl Harbor, or England hitting Hitler BEFORE he invaded Poland, or tightening up airline security BEFORE 9/11.
We in the West always seem to wait until AFTER the disaster to take action.
Trump is different.
Western civilization may never win another war if this keeps up
This is maddening. The radical left, mainstream media, and the woke right are running the exact same playbook with the US/Israel campaign against Iran as they did with Israel in Gaza
They create impossible standards in terms of:
-Zero Casualties
-Zero Economic Disruption
-Zero Uncertainty
-Zero Time to Accomplish the Mission
-Zero Collateral Damage
And everything the bad guys do is actually our fault because we made them do it….same script as Gaza…the bad guys have no agency and it’s actually our fault
Day 32 of the Iran war:
-degraded missile factories, nuclear sites, IRGC bases, and proxy networks
-the Supreme Leader is gone…and his replacement is s vegetable
-all the top leadership is gone…in fact, we don’t even know who’s in charge
Yet the all you hear is endless doomerism
And all of this sounds exactly like the demoralization propaganda from Russia, China, and Iran, that has infiltrated our society for years via social media and retarded influencers chasing click
This isn’t responsible skepticism
It’s weakness…
And you’ll never get peace through strength when the opponent knows you lack resolve and they can just wait you out
This is madness
I agree with your concern but I think the Iran war is very important for the direction of western civilization. If this war cannot be won by the USA it might signal the end of the USA's global power.
If the USA doesn't master drone warfare (and more importantly defending against it) the military will be ineffective in ground warfare.
A good reminder that idiotic tax polices like this can only be made up by naive theoreticians who have never had any responsibility in the real world nor understands how an economy works.
Or the bitter poor. Those who own nothing and have no desire to work their way up and so would rather pull everyone back.
Those are the only two kinds.
Yes it sure makes sense to appoint someone that doesn't know how to manage their own finances as treasury secretary.
Scott Bessent made his millions in macro economics, the same role he is doing within the US administration.
No "everyday man" should be appointed to head the free world.
Every time Scott Bessent tries to cosplay as an everyday man just remember he’s worth half a billion dollars and lived in a $22 million seaside mansion called the Pink Palace.
