John Cornyn's Staffing Fiasco Is Unbelievably Revealing

On Monday evening, it was revealed that a staffer for Republican Senator John Cornyn would be jumping ship to go work for Democrat candidate James Talarico, proving what we’ve known for years: Texas has had a Democrat in that seat since 2002.

A Cornyn staffer just crossed the aisle to work for Democrat James Talarico.

Jacob Smith spent five years as Cornyn’s deputy legislative director and policy adviser. Now he’s deputy policy director for the Democrat trying to flip the Texas Senate seat.

This is what 24 years of RINO representation looks like.
Cornyn lost his own primary in a landslide to Ken Paxton. Then one of his senior aides decided he’d rather help a Democrat than support the Republican who actually won.
Texas voters finally rejected the establishment version of the GOP. Even Cornyn’s own team is making it clear they never really belonged on our side.
