This constant USA vs China talk.
Truth is both need each other, both have major pressure points for the other side.
Both are better off together.
Yes, key supply chains are being moved back or created in the USA, but this doesn’t mean that trading should stop.
Funny enough it is in the Chinese DNA to understand the need for self sufficiency, it’s how they got in the fight with the Brits to begin with more than a century ago now.

Something to think about.
The deadline for the tariff threat released today is November 1st.
We’ve been diligently working towards a trade deal with China.
China’s primary leverage lies in rare earth materials and critical supply chain bottlenecks.
This additional pressure from China on the rare earth side is simply playing into the negotiation process. They’re attacking and taking, with the intention of later making concessions.
The USA is doing the same, taking the form of this threat, and then being able to deescalate.
In my opinion, this isn’t anything truly new. It means that the trade deal is agreed upon in its current form, and both sides want to ensure that it closes as such.
At least that’s what I would expect from negotiations.
This trade is the next medium to major pitch I see.
You are aware that Trump didn’t invent deportation right? Every single country has borders ; Russia, China, North Korea, Israel etc. Not having a border would mean you would live in a 3rd world country. Also the United States president with the most deportations is Barack Obama and he is a democrat. So deportations isn’t a “MAGA” thing…
