Dear Twitter community, for obvious reasons I will stop posting here.
If you want to continue reading my texts and essays, you can do that over here:

Over and out.
The Interface Design programme @fhpotsdam is now officially 20 years old! Last Friday we met a lot (!) of our students and alumni from these last 20 years. Many super interesting discussions – but also plenty of coffee, cake and laughs! It was a really wonderful event!
Fun to see that the @Medium list on ‘Typography deep-dives’ is currently 100% @FHPotsdam.
(OK – it just contains 2 stories: my essay on typefaces = actors and a post about Calibri - designed by my colleague Lucas de Groot / @FontFabrik. 😁)

I just published a new essay: ‘The VisiCalc-Moment of ChatGPT: 12 quick comments on the current ‘AI’ debate’.
In the essay, I argue that ChatGPT has both similarities with VisiCalc - the first spreadsheet - and with photography.

@AppleClassical Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell. If you are curious about opera and classical music it’s a wonderful starting point! It’s short, accessible – and Dido’s Lament is one of the most beautiful arias ever written.

Gern re-tweeten!
Seems appropriate to post this today.
I don’t think Charles III will ever be as cool as Charles II (›the King of Bling‹) but still – one can hope!

If you want a quick introduction to the work of Frieder Nake and the book »Algorithmen & Zeichen«, you can read the english version of my foreword:

The book »Algorithmen & Zeichen« with essays from Frieder Nake (@CarlCanary) is now available as open access!
If you are into media theory, computer science, computer art and / or UX design: this book might be something for you!

.@AppleClassical – there is a mistake in you metadata. The following Album contains works by Händel and by Purcell. However, all tracks are attributed to Händel. The ones with a »Z« refer to the Zimmerman catalogue - they are compositions by Purcell.

Thanks for launching @AppleClassical – I really like it!
If you wonder why it makes sense to have a separate app for classical music, the short answer is: metadata.

My colleagues at the FHP and me produced an explainer video about our MA/BA program "interface design" - in German. Please share - we are always looking for talented students!
