I checked on Dr. @kizzabesigye1 on Friday. Sensing my broken spirit, he gently reminded me that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that God is alive.
In my frustration, I told him that God is taking far too long to rescue us from the dungeons of the dictator and his son.
He looked at me and added, "God's timing is perfect timing."
If KB who has endured the Luzira dungeons for a year and a half remains this strong and full of hope, who am I to despair?
For 47 years, our leader Kizza Besigye has been at the forefront of fighting for freedom.
Today, family, friends, colleagues and political comrades gathered at his offices on Plot 6 Katonga Road to pay respect and celebrate Besigye as an ICON OF DEFIANCE.
A fitting recognition of Besigye's 25 years of leading the struggle to dislodge the NRM regime.
Most political parties, in a significant show of unity, assembled to honour and celebrate Besigye, and congratulate for turning 70 as a dignified leader.

Recently, while visiting @kizzabesigye1 at Luzira Prison, I met Eddie Mutwe with his wife Rhonah and their four young children. The children ran around him, laughing, holding on to every moment. I had to steady myself, hiding my tears so they wouldn’t see. This is the human cost of injustice that @MordecaiMuriisa reminds us of.
