@WarrenJWells There is a trickle for bus and bike - yay!!! - but more advocacy needed to really turn this in a healthy direction https://t.co/wMpB2VhAi1
@Scott_Wiener Much needed bills that have the potential to save many lives. You've done a lot of amazing work for affordable housing - I’m glad to see you turning attention to transportation next!
The city that struggles to pour a little concrete for its street safety projects is budgeting billions to lock in car dependence https://t.co/ZOmleOrARG
@CarterRubin@santamonicacity I disagree. #HousingForPeopleNotPickles
I recommend a Transit Oriented Development adjacent to the SMC Bundy campus and a future Sepulveda Line subway station. We can provide quality housing for thousands of people AND keep most of the airport as open space.
@MayorOfLA Words cannot describe how disappointed I am with the removal of the bus lanes at #LAX. You are completely unprepared for the biggest travel day of the year! Waited 45 min for the #FlyAway bus only to find out it will be stuck in the same miserable traffic!
This is what it would be like to wait for the NoHo-Pasadena BRT on the 134 Fwy at a freeway stop. Is this what the NIMBYs in #EagleRock envisioned what #BetterBRT will be like? All this traffic & noise pollution? One reason why BRT should travel on Colorado Bl. 😷🚘 #BRTforEquity
After dedicated bus lanes were implemented on 14th Street in New York, adjacent residential streets saw a dramatic reduction in cut through traffic. And by dramatic, we mean ZERO.
Every day this week, my 181 bus has been 6-7 minutes late (westbound at Colorado/San Marino). @metrolosangeles I have somewhere to be! If a bus runs once an hour, the least you can do is have it run on schedule!
I guess I’m not going to the Pasadena farmer’s market. I’d have to take two buses, one of which runs once an hour! @metrolosangeles @PasadenaDOT #PasadenaTransit is of no help either.
The ultimate insult: while returning my @CitiBikeNYC to a dock at Dekalb station, an NYPD sergeant gave me bike safety literature - not even a block past where a livery driver idling in the bike lane forced me into traffic! @NYCMayor continues to make a mockery of @VisionZeroNYC
@NYPD70Pct fails to enforce double-parking laws during street cleaning = @FDNY trucks can’t get through. I wonder how @nypd will find a way to blame cyclists for this one!
We’ve done a lot of work in our community to try to reduce traffic deaths. This afternoon, it feels like that work is for nothing: the statistics of declining traffic crash deaths don’t feel meaningful when two young kids are dead.
