@BertaProudDad Wilson is the only option, Jeff has been an admirable steward but I feel his brashness will not help bring the undecided to our side. Keith speaks confidently and is our best choice to lead the movement. @ikwilson@BertaProudDad@JeffreyRWRath

Repost and quote and share and make this motherfucker go viral 🤣🤣🤣☠️
It wouldn’t be a Liberal Convention party crawl without a woman bound in chains spinning from the ceiling. The men seem to be enjoying the show.
I couldn’t imagine the meltdown if this happened at the Conservatives convention. https://t.co/MPn49orU7e

Should the Province of Alberta cease to be part of Canada and become an independent state?
Important: please repost to reach a larger sample size after voting 🗳️
In the heart of our province beats a shared dream: a sovereign Alberta, free from federal overreach, where prosperity flows from our own hands and decisions. The Alberta Prosperity Project, alongside voices like Cory Morgan and Keith Wilson, have each fuelled this fire with unwavering passion, rallying us toward a referendum that could redefine our future.Yet, as we stand on the brink of history, infighting threatens to extinguish that flame.
Disagreements whether on strategy, representation, or sensitive issues like First Nations relations divide us when unity is our greatest strength. History teaches us that fractured movements falter; think of the great causes lost not to external foes, but to internal strife. We cannot afford such a fate.Let us rise above.
To Cory, Keith, the APP leadership, and all advocates: set aside egos and differences. Collaborate, not compete. Channel your energies into a cohesive push for the referendum a vote that demands our collective resolve to succeed.Together, we can build an Alberta that thrives for generations. Cease the discord; ignite the unity. Albertans, sign the petition, keep your eyes on the prize, spread the word, and let's make independence a reality.#AlbertaStrong #UnityForProsperity #IndependenceReferendum
The problem is the numbers are huge to Alberta especially if they secured a trade and defence agreement with the US.
If Alberta retained all federal tax revenues currently collected within its borders—estimated at roughly $70 billion annually—it would immediately transform from a net contributor to Ottawa into a fiscal powerhouse. Today, Alberta sends about $14 billion more to the federal government than it receives back, so keeping those funds would allow the province to replace lost federal transfers, maintain existing programs, and still run a substantial surplus.
Combined with $3 billion in annual CPP savings from a younger population and lower contribution rates, Alberta would have room to materially cut personal
And corporate taxes, invest in infrastructure, and strengthen social programs without increasing debt.
A separate trade agreement with the United States would lock in Alberta’s largest market and eliminate the risk of tariffs or border frictions. The U.S. already buys the bulk of Alberta’s $124 billion in petroleum exports, which make up 91% of Canada’s oil exports and 60% of its natural gas output. Securing free trade would protect Alberta from the projected $20 billion annual GDP loss that even modest trade barriers could cause. It would also open the door to deeper integration with U.S. supply chains, attracting investment and creating a competitive advantage for Alberta’s energy, agriculture, and technology sectors.
Finally, a defense and security alliance with the U.S. would slash sovereignty costs by billions. Instead of spending $10 billion annually to build and maintain its own defense, border, and regulatory systems, Alberta could reduce those costs by up to 70%, freeing resources for economic development.
With a strong fiscal surplus, guaranteed market access, and lower structural costs, Alberta could position itself as one of North America’s most competitive jurisdiction combining energy wealth, tax flexibility, and strategic partnerships to drive growth and prosperity.
This is why I worry about this moving from a tail risk event into a full fledged constitutional crisis especially if Albertans see the numbers and it sways their vote. All kinds of impacts.
Anyone advocating for Alberta independence needs to get very comfortable with repetition.
This movement is going to involve a lot of patient education. Between now and the day of the referendum, we will be correcting the same misinformation again and again.
✅ Crown land is owned by the Alberta government.
✅ Healthcare is already provincially funded.
✅ We are not becoming the 51st state.
✅ Albertans will not lose their pensions.
✅ First Nations do not have a veto over independence.
✅ Treaty land in Alberta was ceded.
✅ “Landlocked” arguments are a non starter.
Know the facts. Expect to repeat them calmly and often until voting day.
Did you know there are several countries in the world where citizens pay no personal income tax?
When you compare their oil reserves to Alberta’s—and then factor in Alberta’s much smaller population—it becomes clear that a no-income-tax model for Alberta is not fanciful, but fiscally realistic.
Imagine keeping your whole pay cheque and not sending it to Ottawa.
In early 2026 we need to win over those who are on the fence when it comes to Alberta independence.
Staying in Canada is not an option if we want to thrive.
