this month has been a kick in the teeth for russia.
the northern pincer from liman is gone, the troops are dead or in retreat.

the south pincer is using up troops at an amazing pace. they have already used up the 90th div, now they are bringing in elements of the 42nd div from the south to try and throw more bodies at the problem. this is eating up the russian army FAST.

ukraine knows this and they are counter attacking the weak russian assault. if this keeps up russia will end up losing the war over this.

Donald Trump stood on the fairway of his own golf course in Ireland on Sunday and informed the world that the diesel crisis "isn't done by the Middle East." It is, he says, Zelenskyy's fault for hitting Russian refineries. This will come as news to the tankers idling outside the Strait of Hormuz, which was open for business before February, was briefly reopened in June, and has been effectively shut again since July, with traffic down to a trickle under naval escort.

That is the shortage. A fifth of the world's seaborne oil, a tenth of its diesel and a fifth of its jet fuel used to pass through that strait. American diesel hit a record above six dollars a gallon on Friday, and it did so because a war Trump started ended with Tehran holding the key to the Gulf, not because a Ukrainian drone found a tank farm in Krasnodar.

The whole world watched the United States go into Iran and come out with a ceasefire, a broken memorandum and a closed strait, the most humiliating result in the history of American power. Rather than admit it, the president asks the country being bombed every night to stop fighting back, so that Russia can sell more diesel and he can survive November.

Russia's secret sabotage drills were disrupted in the Arctic Ocean

In spring 2026, Britain, Norway and the United States disrupted a secret Russian sabotage operation near the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard.

Deep-water vehicles were practicing a new military technology meant to disable undersea cables without being detected.

British, Norwegian and U.S. forces tracked the Russian ships. At one point, the allies confronted them at sea.

Russia could not finish the exercise and left the area.

No cables were damaged. Two independent fiber-optic cables, each about 1,400 km long, link Svalbard to mainland Norway.

They carry large volumes of satellite data from SvalSat, the world’s largest ground satellite station, part of NASA’s Near Space Network.

Fire Point just showed the market what Ukrainian missile development looks like when you stop waiting for permission. FP-7 will be ready for combat use within weeks.

FP-9 has so much range that Ukraine physically lacks the space to test it properly. So the testing phase will happen on target.

That argument is a talking point. what industrial war looks like when the country fighting it has no strategic depth to waste.

No interest in theatrical exercises either.

The FP-9 numbers matter. 855 kilometers.

Up to 800 kilograms of payload. Accuracy within 20 meters.

That weapon is purely symbolic. This system is designed to reach moscovian military infrastructure far beyond the front and force a completely different air defense problem on the enemy.

Most systems moscovia fields outside its strategic belts cannot intercept ballistic missiles. Mobile fire groups do not exist for this threat.

Either you have S-300V or S-400 coverage, or you watch the impact.

The real shift is production logic. Fire Point is building for mass, not museum pieces.

A ballistic missile under one million dollars, produced in monthly volumes that can exceed moscovian Iskander output, changes the arithmetic of the entire war.

When Ukraine can send twenty or thirty of these per month, moscovian logistics hubs, ammunition depots, and launch sites stop being rear areas. They become targets with a four-minute warning.

Paying attention to the method matters as much as the missile. Ukraine is building.

It is building, testing in combat, and scaling. Moscovia understands just this language.

Germany reached the decision following the sabotage incident at Leipzig Airport.

Earlier, Russia closed the German Consulate General in St. Petersburg and all Goethe-Institut centers.

The Russian salient north of Lyman, Donetsk region, Ukraine has collapsed. Ukrainian forces are moving into this area, conducting mopping up operations. It is only a matter of time until all Russian units in that former salient have been dislodged or neutralized. Basically the entire Russian invasion force west of the Zherebets' River in this sector is currently in utter disarray.

It took Russian more than a year and countless losses to even establish that salient. The Russian propaganda announced Lyman's fall already. Seeing the collapse in a matter of weeks only paraphrases the absolute insanity of the Russia tactics to mindlessly throw in bodies with virtually zero gain and now even a territorial loss.

Far worse for the Russian invasion is the setback on the operational level. Their movements have already been minuscule. Lyman is vital if Russians want to move forward. Even according the most optimistic prognostications for the Russian side, it would have taken years for them to take the Ukrainian fortress cities Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, if at all.

This setback, however, not only wasted a tremendous amount of Russian resources and troops, but also pushed the target even further away. It marks now the official failure of Russian summer offensive.
