Jake's character arc is viewed through the lens of him acknowledging his father's legacy & choosing to become a better man. But one detail that quietly emphasises this transformation & one that reflects how others viewed him. Is the recurring symbolism of the apple. (1/9)#REBHFun
That doesntโ that doesn't matter! Not for something like this! This wasn't some drunk driving accident or something where redemption is possible! He was going to turn everyone into supervillains at best and uncontrollable mutants at worst!
Not to mention His own stupid fucking +
Has he not attempted to โatoneโ or try to prove he no longer holds those beliefs? Has he not sat and repeated how he does not wish to cause more harm and regrets what heโs done?
"Yeah, well. Silver linings, I guess." His arms fold over his chest as he leans back in his seat. He almost resembles a pouting child.
"And you? Is..this normal?" He gestures to Weskers glowing eyes.
look, Jake, I am going to love you regardless of the person you have become in my absence because you are MY son. no horrific acts that youโve done in my absence will change that.
youโre still my son , i made a promise to love you no matter what when you were born and im not taking that back just because you made poor decisions. love is not conditional.
do you stop loving that blonde girl if she upsets you?
because for me, it was
iโve been granted an opportunity to be reunited with the two people in my life that I cherish most, why would I waste time on worrying about how to pick up where it was left off when instead I can act like itโs a whole new day, no expectations +
A very underrated moment in RE6.
The way that Chris was looking sad/soft and then weakly smiling at Jake, he had to have seen Wesker/a familiarity within him before he was told the truth. Plus the fact that since they first met Chris was never hostile or cold to him.
